Residential Great Room Redesign

This residential great room redesign project, completed in 2018, involved the removal of an 18-foot fireplace wall and hearth. The removal of the fireplace wall involved a structural rebuild of the wall itself, followed by a redesign of the fireplace.

The existing 18 foot stone facade and fireplace gave the great room a very dull and dark look.  Noteworthy challenges included a custom design of the framework for the new fireplace mantle and matching marble within the existing flooring.

After Project Completion

Below are images of the project after the redesign work was completed. Note the difference in the fireplace, the color palette, the new sense of spaciousness, and the general look and feel of the room.

The outcome of this project was that it created a dramatic visual difference in the appearance of the room and visually enlarged the size of the room itself. Guests often had the impression that a wall had been removed and that the square footage of the room had been increased.

In the end, Panache Interiors & Lifestyles was able to use our background, experience, and professional network to coordinate multiple tradespersons and skillfully sourced custom materials in order to provide a phenomenal result for this client.
