Recovering Antique Chairs

Panache’s client wanted eight antique dining chairs and one large Martha Washington chair recovered with a more current and brighter fabric to replace dark but beautiful needlepoint seat covers. Challenge was to remove the covers without any damage and preserve the heirloom needle point covers for a young family member. After reviewing many fabric samples, the client selected a beautiful fabric and decided to use the same fabric for all chairs.

Our master upholsterer carefully removed and stored the needle point covers individually. He repaired the chairs as needed and beautifully covered the beloved antique chairs. The newly recovered Martha Washington chair is the bright focal point in the adjacent sitting room where our clients enjoy their tea and conversation. Client loves how the chair fabric blends with her oriental rug and other décor.
